With the OTOLUX-LED Otopront has developed a handheld light source that can be used as an endoscopic light source in the workplace or in mobile settings without any restrictions in terms of performance or handling.

The OTOLUX-LED is equipped with digital sensors, so it no longer needs to be switched on and off when in use. As soon as the integrated motion sensor registers that the handheld light source is being moved, the OTOLUX-LED supplies the endoscope with the level of brightness as set.

The OTOLUX-LED automatically switches itself off once the examination has been concluded, i.e. when the device is put down.

Integrated patient safety

A light barrier sensor ensures 100 % anti-glare. The LED light is only activated once an endoscope has been attached, thereby preventing any direct glare for the patient.

The brightness can be controlled with the use of finger and thumb thanks to the ‘floating’ magnetic adjusting ring. The lock function of the adjusting ring on the OTOLUX-LED prevents the device from being accidentally switched on during transport.

Simple and safe attachment of the optic

The sophisticated snap-lock system is compatible with all commonly used endoscopes, and enables them to be rapidly exchanged. The state-of-the-art LED technology allows adjustment of brightness up to 205 lm with no perceptible heating up of the hand piece.

There are two different colour temperatures to choose from:

  • LED daylight neutral white (3500 K)
  • LED halogen warm white (2700 K)
